Actor - Singer - Dancer

Born in Chicago, Minnesota bred, and I am now proud to call New York City my home.

My first love was musicals. In the basement of my hectic home in the suburbs of Chicago, I’d listen to my parent’s records until I could sing every song by heart.  It was my solace. Perhaps it was a mistake for me to know about “Gypsy” at a young age. One evening, when my three older brothers were supposed to be watching me, my mom came home from work, drove up the driveway, and found me buck naked in the picture window of our living room, belting out “Let me Entertain You!”

In high school, I became heavily involved in dance. So much so that, without asking permission, I ripped up the carpet in the basement and put mirrors on the wall...” All I ever needed was the music, and the mirrors and the chance…”  I won several national dance competitions and continued my dance training at the prestigious Gus Giordano Studio.

I hold a BA in Theatre and Political Science from Northfield, MN.  After graduating from college, I left the “Mini-Apple” for “The Big Apple” to pursue the dream.  Within months, I played Ethel Toffelmier in the First National Tour of The Music Man and was in the chorus of The National Tour of Crazy For You.

On tour, I discovered the incredible work of Michael Shurtleff. His seminal book “Audition” changed my life, and altered the focus of my passion for performance as I immersed myself in the craft of acting.

I am a  proud member of AEA and SAG•AFTRA. Some of my favorite NY and regional roles include Elvira in Voice Theatre’s Production of “Blithe Spirit” and Maggie in “The Skin of Our Teeth”  In the film industry, I have received many accolades, including winning Best Supporting Actress at the Festival of Cinema NYC and also winning a Craft Award for Acting at the NYU New Visions and Voices Festival.

I am also a company member of Dzieci, an experimental theater group, dedicated to the search for the sacred.

"Don't settle for anything less than the biggest dream for your future.  Fight to make the dream come true.”

~Michael Shurtleff
